Tourist Information Around Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a growing city.

A small island situated almost central southern part of the United Kingdom. With the Isle of Wight opposite protecting most of its beaches not only from the elements but from our past potential invaders.

Its unique harbour provided Richard the Lionheart with a base to use and also the royal Navy.

Nelson, Charles Dickens, Highland road Cemetery, Murder Duke of Buckingham,D. Day,

Film Tommy, Marc Bolan of T.Rex fame. James Callahan PM all linked to Portsmouth.

Portsmouth is very busy with a history based on the sea and conflicts.

Popular for its naval history and its shopping areas, Portsmouth is active all year around with ferries to Hayling/Gosport/and the Isle of Wight and Europe.

As most seaside towns Portsmouth / Southsea has gardens and seaside attractions.

Our tour starts  in the South East of the city and works its way to the Hard.

We will deviate from the coast at times to show things of interest.
