PLAICE early morning
FLOUNDER early morning
BASS during a storm.
During our 30 years of shore diving this area I have noticed the trend with fishermen on the beach to cast the old 100yds plus. Yes its great for selling rods and snapping lines but the best fish we have seen are in the region of the white water in about 2 to 3 foot of water. There are only a few natural dips and no more than a foot or so a bit further out.
Follow this grass area to the shore a natural dip is in front of it at low tide 5 yards out on a spring low. Hot Spot for plaice when in. Early Summer.
Put a small float with bait just to raise it off the sea bed.
