Was that real

One warm July night at the end of the pier we baited up our lines. A cold mist came from the south and drifted over us almost telling us something was about to happen.

It was fast, it was furious it was gone.

A slack line now floated to the surface and lifted in the breeze dancing on the water surface  as if to mock us.

“Wow did you see that?” Sarah almost whispered in disappointment.

The beauty of her face reflecting the shimmer of the droplets of sea mist on it.

Two seconds of our lives that will be remembered for years.

Something Big

Something Very Very Big

Our imagination grew it even more .

Fishing the pier can be a relaxing time in the hot sun with cold drinks available. The kids and mum can entertain their selves in the arcade or a paddle in the sea.

This pier was part destroyed in a fire during the making of the 60’s Film Tommy

(Warning) For years people have jumped into the sea from structures everywhere in the world. Every year people end up in hospital or worse.

DON’T DO IT

Would you jump from a 20 foot building into a puddle.

Even when the tide is high dangers can lurk in the murky deep water and its not Jaws

Under the pier

Bass in the Gap

Do not bother casting way out to sea. We have dived this area and there is nothing out there. The main concentration is around and under the pier. Do not kill wrasse or devil fish as the bass love to swim around the pylons and eat the eggs. If you kill the attractors they will not be any reason for the fish to hang around. Crabs are also an attractor
Night fishing produces the best and largest. There is a bait and tackle shop on the Eastern side of the pier. Open mainly in the summer.
Other tackle shops can be found at this link
